Lashing
This week’s Forest School’s session looked at practicing lashing. We lashed twigs together to make frames and then added string to make a loom. The children then wove natural materials into their looms. Lashing and weaving benefit hand eye coordination, problem solving skills, concentration, creativity and perseverance.

Both upper and younger English Medium classes have been enjoying Forest School sessions with Mrs MacGregor.

Crown making at Forest Schools
Class EM1-3 had a brilliant time at Forest Schools with Mrs MacGregor, they learned how to make crowns from some willow, and had a good search round the forest school area to find things to add to their crowns.

Lots of fun with water at our forest schools session. The children loved trying to divert the water in the stream through pipes.
