After School Clubs
Listed below are the details of the after school clubs that can usually be offered with us. If you have any ideas for starting up a new club, please contact us.
‘The Jaggy Thistles’: Monday 3.15 – 4.15pm, Dunvegan Primary School Gym
All welcome.
Cost: £1.00
Swimming: Portree High School, Fingal Centre, classes and times as allocated contact: swimming pool staff, phone: 01478 614819 or 01478 614810 Lessons FREE with High Life membership.
North End Shinty: North End Shinty currently takes place on a Thursday evening, 6-7pm at the High School Astro pitch. P1-7 welcome. There are sticks & helmets to borrow, but you MUST bring your own shinpads. Check out the ‘North End Shinty’ page on Facebook for more information / weekly updates.
Skye Shinty Academy: Shinty training for children Skye wide to train and play together. Skye Camanachd pitch, Saturday 9am (ready on the pitch by 8.50am). £1 weekly subs. Sticks and helmets can be borrowed, but you MUST have your own shin guards to play.
Highlife Highland: There are a large range of activities on offer in Portree at the Fingal Centre, including Hockey, Badminton and Football. Please check out their website here to book: https://booking.highlifehighland.com/
Dunvegan Primary School welcomes and supports the provision of after school activities but is not directly involved in the running of them. The school cannot take responsibility for after school activities and asks parents to satisfy themselves about the suitability of each club for their child’s individual needs. Any costs charged are to cover the costs of hall hire etc and are vital to ensure the clubs can keep running. We extend a BIG thank you to everyone who volunteers and dedicates their time for the benefit of our children.
